In these units, you will be subjected to the most critical and formative stage of training. Here, for the first time, you will be taught skills without which you cannot survive, such as an eagle-eyed ability to search the sky for the enemy, “dog fights” with simulated “enemy” aircraft, and the skill to shoot accurately.

Front-line Combat Squadrons:

Once you have achieved the desired standards of proficiency in the fighter and operational conversion phases, you will be qualified to join the front-line combat squadrons of the PAF as young operational pilots. It is in these squadrons that you will truly grow into air warriors, a closely knit combat team, getting airborne in your highly lethal, supersonic machines to practice perfect teamwork and aggressive attack. In these squadrons, you will continue to strive day-and-night towards higher levels of professional skill, so that you may remain ready to follow in the glorious footsteps of those who have established great fighting traditions in the PAF before you.
